Knowledge is a vital asset in the cultural sector. At ENCATC, we emphasize the importance of scientific research, evidence-based insights, and policy analysis as essential tools for shaping the future of culture together with our members. That's why we created the ENCATC Knowledge Hub, an innovative platform designed to collect scientific publications, books, policy developments, and many more crucial resources for our sector. Thanks to the Knowledge Hub, you will access all resources made available exclusively for ENCATC members in an easy and practical way. Plus, a database of experts from the cultural sector is provided: get in touch with worldwide researchers, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners from the cultural sector.
The ENCATC Knowledge Hub is organized in four different sections:
- Resources, where members will find both our scientific and non-scientific publications. The former include the articles of the ENCATC Journal on Cultural Management and Policy, the ENCATC Book Series, and the ENCATC Scholar, our tool designed to satisfy the growing demand for teaching material in the academic world. Non-scientific works are the Policy Tracker, the ENCATC Magazine, and books, as well as policy papers, newsletters, and podcasts.
- Experts Database, where you can find information on cultural experts worldwide, including scholars, researchers, policymakers, and more. You can learn name, surname, institutions, and the country where experts are based.
- Library, where you will find a list of publications not issued by ENCATC but that we value of high interest for people active in the cultural sector. Having a look at the library you will also see what of these resources are directly available in the ENCATC office in Brussels.
- Policy Developments, a collection of the most relevant policy documents issued by political institutions. Access this area to learn the most relevant advances in the cultural policies with official publications by both the European Union and other political bodies.
